HISTORY
Sable was incorporated in British Columbia in 1962 as Calico Silver Mines Ltd. In 1978, the name was changed to Sable Resources Ltd. Since 1980, Sable has been a publicly-traded company on what is now the TSX Venture Exchange.
In 1989, the Company acquired the Baker Mill. Concurrently, Sable made an agreement with International Shasta Resources Ltd. to mine and process a part of the Shasta Deposit, located 11km. (7mi.) from the mill. Upon successful completion of this contract, Sable acquired the Shasta property.
In 1991 the Company gained control of the Chappelle (Baker mine) Claims by acquiring Multinational Mining Inc. which is now a fully-owned subsidiary.
